At XTS – Performance, our training programs aren’t a trend or a fad—they produce results. We are proud to offer our X-Factor Training System, which utilizes training techniques that have helped develop the world’s best athletes. Every day offers a new workout that follows an 12-week cycle that will ensure you achieve your goals.
The X-Factor Training System is built around ten foundational principles—referred to as the “10 Pillars of Athletic Performance.” These pillars represent the critical components required for an athlete to reach their peak potential in sport and life. Each pillar addresses a unique facet of athletic development, and together they form the “X-Factor” that sets athletes apart from their competition.
The name X-Factor reflects the transformative power of mastering these ten elements. When combined, these pillars create a synergy that maximizes performance, turning good athletes into great ones. Here’s a breakdown of the 10 Pillars:
- Strength – The foundation of all athletic movement, strength enhances an athlete’s ability to generate force, resist fatigue, and prevent injury. This pillar focuses on both maximal and functional strength, ensuring athletes can dominate in any scenario.
- Power – Strength alone isn’t enough—athletes must be able to express it explosively. This pillar focuses on speed-strength and power output through plyometrics, Olympic lifts, and explosive movement patterns.
- Speed– Raw speed is a game-changer. Whether it’s sprinting on the field or making fast directional changes, this pillar trains the mechanics of acceleration, deceleration, and top-end speed.
- Endurance – From short bursts of effort to prolonged activity, athletes must maintain high performance over time. This pillar develops cardiovascular capacity, muscular stamina, and the ability to sustain energy output across all energy systems.
- Mobility – Optimal range of motion is critical for maximizing strength, power, and speed. This pillar enhances flexibility, joint health, and movement efficiency to prevent injuries and improve biomechanics.
- Agility – The ability to change direction rapidly and efficiently is key in nearly every sport. This pillar develops coordination, footwork, and balance to improve overall athletic responsiveness.
- Balance & Stability -A strong foundation begins with stability. This pillar targets core strength, balance, and proprioception, enabling athletes to maintain control in dynamic and unstable environments.
- Coordination – Coordination ties everything together. It’s the ability to smoothly execute complex movements by synchronizing the body’s systems. This pillar trains motor control and movement precision.
- Mental Toughness -Physical ability is only part of the equation. This pillar develops resilience, focus, and confidence to help athletes overcome challenges, adapt under pressure, and stay disciplined.
- Nutrition & Recovery – Performance doesn’t just happen in the gym. This pillar emphasizes the importance of proper fueling, hydration, and recovery strategies to ensure athletes are always ready to perform at their best.

The X-Factor Training System builds this quality by integrating all 10 pillars into a unified program. It’s not just about excelling in one area; it’s about developing well-rounded, adaptable athletes who are unstoppable in competition.

Each workout, in all five core programs at XTS – Performance, is a 60- minute workout following XTS – Performance specific X-Factor methodology that includes:

- Beginner (Ages 6-9)
- Intermediate (Ages 10-12)
- Advanced (Ages 12-14)
- Elite (14-18)

Scheduled Training Focus
At XTS-Performance, we have a daily training focus set each week ensuring we have a balanced and consistent approach to obtaining all of our athlete’s goals. Although we train the full body every day, our workouts have been programmed strategically with these focuses to maximize results, minimize the risk of injury, and allow proper recovery that limits over training any one area.

The Benefits of a Total-Body Workout
The X-Factor Training System builds a balanced body by targeting all of your muscles in every session. Compared to split routines, where you focus on a separate muscle group each day, missing a training is not as detrimental to your fitness goals since you’ll be exercising those same muscles during the next workout (instead of waiting a week for your next “leg day”). Plus, full-body workouts use up more energy, which helps you burn more calories.
